The Journey of a Movement tends to be defined by clear stages.

1. The Grand Vision

A dominant personality or coaches introduce a new and transcendent idea that promises a panacea for disconnected individuals.

So here we are. Preparations are underway to challenge the establishment in Australia. Tensions are rising. Conflict emerges from within. It’s the thrill of the captain at his peak, a look that says: thoughtful warrior, rugged appearance, natural look, truly contemporary you half-expect to glance over and find him positioned in the field bare-chested holding a fish.

It’s the opener continuing to have permission speaking publicly, resembling a cheerful animal formally attired, uttering phrases such as we are actively deconstructing the orange. And yes, the energy, for quite a long time, was only good energy.

3. A New Life

Growth phase. Cohesion maintained via memorization of key phrases. These principles may seem irrational to prove commitment.

Am I alone? The criticism, the outrage, the feeling of letdown post-defeat seems too strong, unwarranted. England batted badly during the match, as is typical there. The team have been sealed up in this environment since childhood. In trying to escape from it, to create a less brutal environment, they are mirroring their past, forming a new circle, a closed circle, but now with a modern squad and a coach promoting authenticity provided you conform.

Live where your feet are. Embrace challenges. But no matter how fast and far you run, you’re always basically in the same place.
